Here at Double Shoe Farm we take pride in providing all natural great quality pork fresh off of the farm. We are a farrow to finish farm, meaning all of our pigs are born and raised on our farm. We feed a high quality feed that we make tailored to each stage of life from baby through finishing. We ensure that our pigs get the right amount of vitamins, minerals, and protein in their diet. We do not feed table scraps (slop) to our pigs with the exception of greens and fruits from our all natural garden on occasion. Some ingredients include corn, soy, alfalfa, oats, and barley. Our priority is to make sure we have happy healthy pigs. We believe happy healthy pigs means great quality meat! All of our pork is 100% guaranteed or we will replace it free of charge! Most of the pork we sell is either pure bred Berkshire or half Berkshire. We want to ensure our customers have a great experience with our products and services and are 100% satisfied! We offer a chance for you to get to know your farmer and build a trust and relationship with us.

Whole Hog: $2.65/lb Hanging Weight
A whole hog will run between $400-$500.00 depending on the hanging weight plus the cost of processing. Processing will average approximately $180.00 depending on the processor used.
Half Hogs: $250.00 (Pure Bred Berkshire $300.00)
A half hog is $250.00 plus the cost of processing. Processing will average approximately $90.00-$125.00 depending on the processor used.

Berkshire Pork is a heritage breed of pig, which was discovered over 300 years ago in Berkshire County in the United Kingdom. Berkshire pork is renowned for its richness, texture, marbling, juiciness, tenderness and overall depth of flavor. It is thought by many to be the Kobe beef of pork. It is said to have a very specific taste, not generic and bland or mild like regular pork. Berkshire pork is prized for juiciness, flavor and tenderness, is pink-hued and heavily marbled. If you have never tried Berkshire Pork it is a MUST try as you will not be disappointed!
Deposits
A $100.00 deposit is required to reserve your hog.
We would be happy to deliver to any processor of your choice within a reasonable distance. However, please note that we only guarantee our pork through certain processors. Please check with us for our list of guaranteed processors. If we take a group of hogs to a processor out of town please note that we will also bring your processed hog back to Casper for pick up. Hogs being processed at local processors must be picked up from the processor by the buyer.
*When Purchasing either a whole or half hog buyer will speak directly with the processor for cutting instructions. This is to ensure you get exactly the cuts you like! You will then pay the processor directly for processing upon pickup. Our prices Do NOT include processing fees. If you are new to purchasing we will be glad to assist you with the process and help walk you through cutting instruction so you understand all your options.
